The story of Tahitian Goddess began in the dreams of a young girl who ran along the beaches in Papeete, hair flying in the wind. Among her favorite places to be were the kitchens of her Mama and her aunties. There she learned to slice the onions and grate the ginger, listening intently as her elders traded culinary secrets as they performed cooking magic. The young girl eventually created Tahitian Goddess in 1991 in Honolulu, sharing the traditions and flavors she grew up with through her exquisite tropical gourmet jams, jelly and chutney.
In 2007 the Tahitian Goddess tradition was passed to a new owner and the business was moved to the idyllic North shore town of Hanalei on the island of Kauai. The new owner, Beatrice Allen also grew up cooking and creating with her family in the kitchen, but across the globe in Germany. The Tahitian Goddess tradition continues with only the finest, hand-selected Hawaiian fruit and vegetables, traditional cooking methods and, of course, the finest ingredients. Tahitian Goddess products have no preservatives or artificial ingredients. In addition to the ingredients being locally grown, the guava products are grown and hand selected from the Allen's own orchard in Hanalei.
